LaForrest Cope, MFA, is a former professor of English. She served on the faculty of York and Queens College of the City University of New York for 20 years, teaching undergraduates about the art of writing. She is trained in World, British, and American literature (traditional & contemporary). Her focus is on student-centered, authentic assessment: conventional and performance-based with a critical inquiry approach to strengthen student preparation with essay writing intensive support workshops. Distilling years of experience with online instruction, her 3-week fully online courses will give participants first-hand experience of what it is like to learn online, including the flexibility of asynchronous instruction.
